Creation of control system for adding vegetable fats in milk

Need for creating a control system for a new line for adding vegetable fats in milk.

Goal of the Project:

Automation of the process control system for a new line.

Description of the Project:

Within the project our specialists developed technical specifications, design documentation, control program, installed the control cabinet, carried out works on connecting cables and carried out commissioning works.
Compact EC4P PLC with a remote display MFD Titan was used in the project as the master controller for visualization of the process, entry of settings and parameters of the line.

Pump regulating the feed rate of the melted fat in the milk is connected to the frequency converter of DC1 series. The set point is the rate specified in the PLC from a remote panel. Current consumption is determined by Coriolis flowmeter Promass 80F. The control signal for the frequency converter is formed by PID controller, which supports current flow with a predetermined accuracy and minimum time of reaching the setpoint.

Results of the Project:

  • Comprehensive commissioning of a modern and reliable control system;

  • The created control system enables the control of actuating mechanisms of the line in automatic mode.

  • The human factor is minimized;

  • An intuitive and modern interface of a mnemonic scheme with maximum clarity and ease of operation is developed;

  • The possibility of operational control of operation by management is implemented.
